François-Xavier Lefebvre is a 24 year old Womenswear student, coming from Aix-en-Provence, France. He interned at Gareth Pugh, Germanier, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. For his collection, François-Xavier was mainly inspired by fetish wear, a part of his ‘whole world’, as he goes ‘clubbing a lot in Berlin at venues like Berghain.’ He created a sculptural collection based on his interpretation of the ‘Vac Cube’ and Deep pressure therapy. ‘After my placement year, I was not in a good place. I wanted to run away from the studios. So I went to the metal workshop to develop these objects rather than actual garments.’ His huge stars covered with latex and his trompe-l’oeil black dresses lifted up around the waist allows the wearer to have their own private space at any time.
