Veldon Salim is 24 years old and grew up in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta. He interned for a mix of international brands, amongst other Ports 1961, Erdem and Self-Portrait. For his final collection, he used a diverse range of mixed natural and synthetic yarns from mohairs, various wools, monofilament, nylon, and more specifically collaborated with ceramic students to create undergarments and accessories. His creative concept is based on his personal experience of abuse and feelings of detachment from his body. The delicate nature of his materials empathise the sensations of knitted textile; exploring the sensual experience of wearing a garment rather than its external posture.
